Job Summary
Teach four high school English classes, develop daily lessons aligned with the school English curriculum in collaboration with department colleagues and leadership, uphold high academic and behavioral expectations, participate in coaching and PD programs, assist with non-instructional time programming, and contribute as a positive, collaborative member of the school community.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of full-time classroom or special education teaching experience, preferably in an urban education setting
- Hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or meet the licensure requirements within a year of date of hire
- Demonstrate belief that all students can succeed
- Desire to continually improve teaching practice by taking and implementing feedback
- Proven record of student success and achievement
- Ability to work well on a team and support others in doing their best work
