Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities in English as the core subject, develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, assess student learning, collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs, manage classroom behavior, coordinate with staff and volunteers, sponsor extracurricular activities when assigned, maintain communication with parents and community, participate in staff development, and comply with district policies and safety procedures. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and Texas teaching certificate; responsibilities include instruction, assessment, classroom management, collaboration, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
