Job Summary
High School English/Reading Teacher responsible for delivering instruction to secondary students, developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with district and Texas Education Agency guidelines, and assessing student learning. Collaborates with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs, plans and grades assignments with instructional aides/volunteers, manages classroom behavior, and communicates effectively with parents and colleagues. Provides a positive role model, participates in staff development, and supports the school mission while supervising extracurricular activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certification Secondary English (6-12)
- Secondary ESL 6-12
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
