Job Summary
English Interventionist for 9th- and/or 10th-grade students in MTSS, delivering engaging English 1/2 support synchronously Monday-Thursday and asynchronously on Fridays. Develop and deliver lessons aligned with NC English 1/2 standards, maintain student records and assessments, participate in professional development, and collaborate with parents, colleagues, and the school community. Contribute to the high school English department's PLCs and support events and activities. Hybrid/Remote work approximately 90-95% of time with a school office in Durham, NC. Requires NC English 9-12 teaching license, a Bachelor’s degree, and relevant teaching experience; virtual teaching experience and Canvas familiarity preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- North Carolina English 9-12 teaching license (will not consider English/ELA 6-9 license)
- 3+ years of teaching experience (Preferred)
- Experience teaching in a virtual or remote setting (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Canvas or LMS (Preferred)
- Must be a North Carolina resident to be considered for hire, must maintain residency
