High School ELA Teacher responsible for delivering literature-rich instruction across a shared curriculum, prioritizing inclusive texts, student-led discourse, and college-readiness through AP/SAT preparation. Responsibilities include developing reading, writing, and discussion skills; guiding evidence-based arguments; differentiating instruction; analyzing student work trends with leadership; and collaborating with department and grade-level teams to support student achievement. Requires a bachelor’s degree and NJ certification eligibility; initial certification within a reasonable period post-employment is expected. Compensation ranges from $56,000 to $80,000, with location in Florence, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration in NJ, but NJ state certification eligibility requirements must be met (GPA thresholds)
- All instructional staff are required to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
- 1-2 years experience preferred in urban K-12 settings
- Academic expertise in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or related fields
