High School ELA Teacher responsible for delivering literature-focused instruction to empower students to analyze texts and engage in student-led discourse; implement a rigorous, college-prep focused curriculum with emphasis on diversity and AP/SAT readiness; differentiate instruction to support all learners; collaborate with department and grade-level teams to set academic goals; analyze student work and assessments with weekly coaching and feedback; partner with families and participate in school-wide meetings; required to meet New York State certification eligibility and complete teacher-preparation steps to become certified.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements
- Enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher during employment if you do not have a degree in education
- Must enroll in teacher preparation program and become certified in New York within a reasonable period after beginning employment
