Job Summary
Online high school ELA teaching role serving as the teacher of record and primary instructor for Pathfinder Career Academy of Ohio. Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference rooted in research-based instructional practices, complete course setup in the LMS, monitor student progress in asynchronous courses, differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs, collaborate with the Principal to produce progress reports, and communicate regularly with families. Role requires travel for in-person state testing and student events several times per year; incumbent must hold an Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area and be able to work in a hybrid model (mostly online with periodic in-person obligations).
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
- Preferred two years’ experience teaching
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
- Ability to supervise students in all school settings
