Job Summary
Remote High School CTE Business Teacher responsible for delivering online course content in ARVA, an Arkansas-based virtual academy. The role requires state-certified teaching and the ability to deliver rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences, personalize instruction, monitor student progress via the LMS, communicate with families and learning coaches/parents, prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests, and support project-based learning while collaborating with the school and professional learning communities. Occasional travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and program needs is required. The position emphasizes use of data-driven instruction, industry partnerships, and advocacy for student post-secondary success within an online environment. Salary ranges from $45,000 to $50,000 with potential eligibility for a bonus; compensation varies by location, experience, and qualifications. You will be home-based with flexibility to travel for required activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Experience with online/virtual instruction (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 20% for PD/testing (as required)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint (or equivalent)
- Experience with learning management systems and online tools
- Certification or content knowledge in Business/CTE for high school
Additional Requirements
- Residency in Arkansas strongly preferred for remote teaching role
- Must be able to maintain a professional home office
- U.S. work authorization
