Job Summary
Plan and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and TEA guidelines for high school CTE courses in Audio Video Tech. Develop instructional activities, assess student learning, and use assessment results to inform instruction. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs, plan goals with staff, manage classroom environment, and oversee instructional aides and volunteers. Conduct ongoing student assessment, sponsor extracurricular activities as appropriate, communicate professionally with parents and community, participate in staff development, and comply with applicable policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
