Job Summary
High School Counselor position focusing on student counseling, career development, and student assessment. Responsibilities include applying counseling procedures, conducting student appraisal, guiding career development, organizing and delivering information to students, parents, and district staff, and managing student behavior. Requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to instruct students across one-on-one, small group, and large group settings. Two years of teaching experience and a Texas school counselor certificate are required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas school counselor certificate
- Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to students, parents, and district staff
- Two years teaching experience
