Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous engaging lessons with a STEM focus, using project- and problem-based instruction to challenge middle and high school students. Lead students to develop soft skills (critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration), utilize technology to facilitate instruction, and employ varied assessment tools to measure progress toward learning, college, and career goals. Counsel students as an Advisor in the Advisory Program; promote family engagement and partnerships to address barriers to learning; contribute to a high-performing team; participate in professional development and ongoing growth. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; NC Professional Educator’s License preferred but not required, with eligibility to obtain license within 3 years; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
