Job Summary
Lead a high school as Class Principal for the 2026-27 academic year at Pioneer High School. Responsibilities include evaluating instructional and non-instructional staff, assisting teachers in planning, classroom management, and student evaluation, and contributing to a positive school climate conducive to teaching and learning. The role requires an anti-racist, equity-focused, and visionary leadership approach, with experience communicating successes and challenges in creating equity-centered learning communities. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Education with emphasis in supervision/administration/curriculum, five years of secondary teaching/counseling experience, a secondary teaching certificate or related coursework, and Michigan administrative certification (or ability to obtain). The position is full-time and on-site at Pioneer High School, Ann Arbor, MI.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education from an accredited institution with emphasis in supervision, administration, curriculum, or related field
- Five years of successful teaching and/or counseling experience at the secondary level preferred
- Teaching Certificate with secondary level endorsement or special coursework related to secondary education preferred
- Valid Michigan administrative certification (or ability to obtain)
- Meet the criteria established by North Central Association for principals
