Job Summary
Manage instructional programs for high school chemistry students by conducting synchronous and asynchronous web conferencing sessions, grading work, and creating progress reports. Consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure program completion while developing alternate lesson approaches and providing additional assistance with daily assignments. Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers to update Personal Learning Plans, score assessments, and coordinate social activities and field trips. Maintain up-to-date student records, manage regional field trips, and participate in state testing administration and recruiting sessions. Work collaboratively with advisory teachers and counselors to monitor student progress and establish goals.
Required Qualifications
- Highly qualified and certified to teach High School Chemistry in Ohio (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities)
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
Desired Qualifications
- Chemistry Secondary Science or Physical Science License Preferred
