Job Summary
Direct the high school cafeteria operations within the district’s Child Nutrition Services, ensuring high quality menu items prepared in a clean, safe environment in accordance with federal/state guidelines. Responsible for supervising staff, managing personnel, menu planning, quantity food preparation, operation of commercial equipment, inventory management, production records, orders and requisitions, deposits, and reporting of student/adult meals. Requires English/Spanish communication, ServSafe (and Level III TASN) certification or equivalent experience, and a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Position is non-exempt and follows 186 work days with emphasis on safety, compliance, and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- State Certified Food Management or National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification required
- Level III (Basic Management) TASN Certification or minimum of three years food service experience
