Job Summary
Manage instructional programs for Missouri Connections Academy from a home office in Missouri, consulting regularly with learning coaches and students via telephone and internet to ensure successful program completion. Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences while supporting the program through asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction. Review curriculum to devise alternate approaches for presenting lessons, communicate with parents and students to develop Personal Learning Plans, and keep student records and data up-to-date. Coordinate social activities, field trips, and state testing proctoring, while participating in recruiting sessions and attending training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Business in Missouri (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities)
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities
- Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
