Job Summary
Maintain complete and systematic records of campus financial transactions according to established procedures and generally accepted accounting principles. Process and account for all money generated and distributed in school-sponsored activities, including receipt of cash and preparing deposits. Prepare monthly periodic financial reports, assist with budget preparation, and maintain inventory of fixed assets, equipment, and supplies. Process direct pay requests for officials and prepare gate boxes for athletic events. Maintain physical and computerized files while following Financial Policy Manual and NISD regulations. Provide support for general office, PEIMS, and attendance services. Work 207 duty days as a non-exempt employee at a campus assigned location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch)
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and do word processing
- Proficient skills in keyboarding and file maintenance
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines
- Ability to accurately and effectively document and track multiple accounts
- One year accounting or bookkeeping experience
