Job Summary
Lead track and field and cross country coaching, manage boys' tennis and volleyball teams, and deliver high-energy, inclusive programming across multiple sports. Uphold and enforce all eligibility standards, complete required safety certifications including CPR and First Aid, and maintain a criminal background check. Foster a positive, cohesive team culture while supporting both varsity players and first-time participants in character, respect, and accountability. Complete NJSIAA-mandated requirements within the specified timeframe and demonstrate commitment to working with high school students in urban settings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 23 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma

- complete a criminal background check and fingerprinting as per state law
- comply with all NJSIAA coaching requirements within the required timeframe (often within 1 year of hire)
