Job Summary
Conduct daily track and field and cross country coaching sessions, manage team training, and enforce eligibility standards for student-athletes. Uphold all NJSIAA coaching requirements, including mandatory safety certifications for concussion, heat illness, CPR, and first aid. Complete criminal background checks and fingerprinting as per state law. Foster a positive, cohesive team culture through high-energy, inclusive programming that emphasizes character, respect, and accountability. Build confident, disciplined student-athletes while supporting both varsity players and first-time participants in urban school settings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 23 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma
