Job Summary
Conduct high-energy, inclusive athletics programming across multiple sports and fitness activities to build confident, disciplined student-athletes. Uphold and enforce all eligibility standards for student-athletes while fostering a positive, cohesive team culture. Complete required certifications including CPR, First Aid, concussion, and heat illness protocols within the NJSIAA timeframe. Maintain criminal background checks and fingerprinting as per state law. Support both varsity players and first-time participants in character, respect, and accountability-driven environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 23 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- High school diploma required
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
