Job Summary
Lead track and field and cross country coaching, manage boys tennis and volleyball teams, and deliver high-energy, inclusive programming across multiple sports. Uphold and enforce all eligibility standards for student-athletes while fostering a positive, cohesive team culture focused on character, respect, and accountability. Complete required safety certifications including concussion, heat illness, CPR, and first aid, and maintain a criminal background check and fingerprinting as per state law. Work within a nonprofit network dedicated to closing the college completion gap in economically disadvantaged communities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 23 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma
