Job Summary
Lead track and field or tennis coaching sessions, design fitness programs, and enforce eligibility standards for student-athletes. Uphold all NJSIAA safety certifications including concussion, heat illness, CPR, and first aid training. Complete criminal background checks and fingerprinting as required by state law. Maintain a cohesive team culture while supporting both varsity players and first-time participants in high-energy, inclusive programming. Obtain and maintain required certifications within the specified timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 23 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- High school diploma
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
