Job Summary
Conduct daily track and field and cross country coaching, manage team training, and enforce eligibility standards for student-athletes. Uphold NJSIAA-mandated safety certifications including concussion, heat illness, CPR, and first aid. Complete criminal background checks and fingerprinting as required by state law. Maintain a positive, cohesive team culture while fostering character, respect, and accountability across varsity and first-time participants. Obtain and maintain required certifications within the specified timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 23 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
- Strong foundational knowledge of volleyball techniques, training methods, and game strategy
- Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students, particularly in urban school settings
- High school diploma required
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
