High School Assistant Head Custodian

Job Summary
Assists with custodial services at the assigned school site to maintain an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Performs a variety of cleaning operations, snow removal, and supplies delivery; prepares facilities for classroom activities and campus events; informs staff of safety and maintenance issues; monitors student and staff areas to prevent injuries; conducts summer maintenance and prepares facilities for daily operations; replenishes classroom and restroom supplies; responds to inquiries and safety concerns; supports site maintenance staff and communicates in English. Requires following standardized procedures under direct supervision and may involve significant lifting and standing, with potential on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks including operating cleaning equipment and safety practices
- KNOWLEDGE of basic math, reading and following instructions, multi-step instructions
- ABILITY to schedule activities, communicate in English, work with diverse groups, meet deadlines, work with interruptions
- Availability to be on-call and perform custodial tasks
- Ability to read and respond to communications and use computer-based systems
- Experience with institutional cleaning and safety procedures (hazardous materials, asbestos, fire safety)
