Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach with daily operations of practices, games, and tournaments for Girls Volleyball at a New Jersey high school. Responsibilities include mentoring student-athletes, executing practice plans, supervising athletes, ensuring compliance with NJ/NJSIAA regulations, coordinating logistics (transportation, game-day operations), contributing to fundraising and program outreach, maintaining safety protocols and emergency readiness, and representing the school at competitions and events. The role requires adherence to certification requirements ( CPR/AED, First Aid, NFHS coaching courses and DOE credentials), ability to work flexible evenings and weekends, travel with the team to away events, and collaboration with the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Principal to foster a positive, academically focused athletic culture.
Required Qualifications
- CPR/AED / Basic First Aid Certification
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
- Annual NFHS Training Requirements (Concussion in Sports, Heat Illness Prevention, Sudden Cardiac Arrest)
- NFHS Implicit Bias Course
- BeNice Program
- DOE Certification (NJ Teaching Certification or NJ Instructional Substitute Credential)
- Background Check
- Medical Fitness
- Mantoux Tuberculin Test (TB)
