Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum; employ instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs; assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs; plan and assign work to instructional aides/volunteers; manage classroom behavior and safety; sponsor extracurricular activities; maintain professional communication with parents and colleagues; participate in staff development and comply with district/state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Tennessee teaching license
- Applicable endorsement for subject area if required
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
