Job Summary
Oversee technical and mechanical work for multifamily properties by completing assigned service work orders, performing general cleaning of grounds and amenities, and diagnosing issues in accordance with Hines policies. Operate, adjust, and perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment while properly handling documentation and safety procedures. Prepare vacant homes for leasing through inspections and coordinate with contractors for necessary repairs. Adjust and operate fire alarm and life safety systems, ensuring all tasks adhere to established standards and emergency protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of property maintenance or related industry experience
- EPA Type I & II or Universal certification
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, and appliances
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail, organization, and strong multitasking abilities
- Ability to work an on-call schedule and overtime
- Work indoors approximately 80% of the time and outdoors approximately 20% of the time
- Use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses
- Work standing all day
- Lift 25 lbs. or more
- Climb up and down stairs and ladders
- Access remote work areas and confined spaces
- Use full range of manual dexterity
- Meet the shift working requirements of the assigned property
- Shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred
- EPA certification for refrigerant recycling
