Job Summary
Greet guests in person or by phone to schedule reservations, coordinate guest flow at the front of house, and escort diners to assigned tables. Manage the reservation list, anticipate peak times and banquets, and accurately quote waiting times while maintaining the waiting list. Perform opening, side, and closing duties, re-set tables, and maintain the safety, cleanliness, and organization of the host stand and lobby. Assist with coat check, Platinum Club service, and other duties as assigned by Managers. Work a flexible part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, standing for four hours and lifting 15 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- Meet state age requirement for the position
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively
- Must have professional communication and social skills appropriate for guests
- Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Able to work a flexible, part-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Lunch-time serving hours may be required for certain seasons, holidays, or special events
- Work days and hours vary in accordance with business need
- Able to stand for 4 or more hours at a time
- Able to lift and carry 15 pounds on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
