Job Summary
High-Net-Worth Planner in TD Wealth private wealth management role focused on delivering customized tax, estate, and wealth planning guidance to HNW/UHNW clients in Montréal. Responsible for developing tailored wealth plans from client information, coordinating with TD Wealth advisors and relationship managers, identifying opportunities for additional solutions, conducting independent research on retirement/tax/estate planning, tracking outcomes and revenue, supporting other WAS team members, and participating in client meetings and educational seminars. Requires a strong foundation in tax and estate planning, relationship-building skills, advanced degree(s), willingness to obtain IPF designation within 18 months, and proficiency with wealth-planning tools.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- Advanced professional degree (CPA or LL. B)
- Willingness to complete the Financial Planner Designation from l'Institut québécois de planification financière (IPF) within 18 months from start date
- Tax knowledge and expertise on holistic financial planning
- Minimum 10 years of personal tax experience gained at a law firm, accounting firm or financial institution
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and provide high quality services to clients
- Excellent people and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication, presentation, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience using CCH FP Solutions and Voyant
- Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
