Job Summary
Set up equipment in preparation for startup and identify/remove defects from hogs prior to final USDA inspection, while adhering to safety and food safety policies. Monitor production area for trash/food debris on the floor; perform various tasks as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Superintendent. This is a 1st shift production role at the Newbern, TN facility with hourly pay of $22.45. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in cold temperatures. Tyson Foods emphasizes safety, compliance with policies, and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for 8 hours on concrete floor (standing, stooping, walking, climbing)
- Must be able to work in temperatures at or below 35 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 8 hours
- Must be able to complete tasks after submitting application
- Must be currently working at this facility or be able to coordinate with HR at your facility
