Job Summary
Dowbuilt is seeking a on-site High-End Residential Superintendent to lead one-of-a-kind architectural projects. You’ll serve as the on-site construction manager, ensuring safety and compliance with plans and specifications, solving constructability challenges, and maintaining quality throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll partner with the project manager to develop and manage schedules in MS Project, contribute to preconstruction estimates, maintain plans/specifications/as-builts, manage subcontractors and field crews, coordinate material deliveries, and conduct daily walk-throughs and job-log updates. You’ll professionally represent Dowbuilt to clients, architects, owner’s reps, project managers, subcontractors, management, field staff, and HOAs, while fostering strong supplier relationships and ensuring clear communication. The role also involves training and directing field crews, performing performance evaluations, and ensuring site security and safety.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of superintendent experience, with at least 5 years in high-end, custom residential projects
- Experience working through design details and constructability challenges directly with architects and designers to achieve design intent
- Degree in Construction Management or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Journeyman-level carpentry skills
- Excellent communication, team-building and mentoring skills
- Deep technical building knowledge and experience with traditional and new materials/methods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- Proficiency with Procore; Sage 300 CRE is a plus but not required
- U.S. work authorization
