HHS Marching Band Percussion Instructor (Job # 3855)

Job Summary
Attend rehearsals, band camps, and performances to assist students in sectional and whole group practice. Teach drum line basics, including marching techniques and stick work, while choreographing routines for the show. Assign equipment responsibilities to students and collaborate with the pit to teach music memorization and timing. Work with the drill writer to check positioning and choreograph drum line movement to match the drill. Assist in teaching the drill for the show and enforce school and association policies. Perform related duties as required by the Principal or Athletic Director during the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated management, leadership and human relations skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions
- Proven ability to carry an assignment to its completion
- Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks akin to the duties and responsibilities listed below
- Must be fingerprinted and submit to a criminal background investigation
- Must complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) in person
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
- Must report all former employers in which you may have had direct contact with minors
