Job Summary
Greet customers with open-ended questions, assist with product selection and purchasing decisions, and answer inquiries about merchandise, pricing, and promotions. Operate the cash register, handle payments, and issue receipts while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor. Replenish inventory, organize displays, and perform cycle counts according to management schedules. Write sales orders using CNRG point-of-sale systems, accept telephone inquiries, and submit instances of pricing or scanning errors via the Resource Center. Face and front products at shift start and end, assist with customer loading, and follow safety guidelines. This role supports CNRG's retail operations, requiring basic knowledge of lumber or building materials and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to perform each duty and responsibility in a satisfactory manner
- previous work experience dealing with retail sales or general customer service
- strong math, reading, writing, and speaking skills

- ability to communicate using telephone and e-mail
- Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, or general hardware merchandise
- Must be able to lift and load merchandise weighing up to 100 lbs. for various amounts of time
