Job Summary
Provide in-home personal care and assistance to patients under an established care plan, including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting, feeding, and related activities. Responsible for measuring and recording vital signs (oral, rectal, axillary temperatures; pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered), ensuring safe transfers and ambulation, guiding exercise per the plan of care, performing range of motion and simple extensional therapies, aiding with laundry, and maintaining patient safety. Observe and document patient condition, communicate clearly with the client and caregiver, and follow the plan of care and tasks assigned, while complying with applicable regulations and participating in Maxim's competency program. Must demonstrate safety awareness, document care provided, and report changes to the supervising nurse. Required Qualifications
- Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
- Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
- PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
- Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
