Job Summary
Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support while preparing meals and offering medication reminders. Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization alongside delivering companionship and emotional support. Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as needed, observing and reporting changes in client condition to the care team. Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols under RN oversight. Schedule options include Saturday and Sunday shifts (10 AM–6 PM), weekday rotations (10 AM–4 PM), and 24/7 coverage. Requirements include a high school diploma, current CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. BrightStar Care offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $16 to $21, with weekly pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following client care plans
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training
