Job Summary
Provide skilled speech therapy services on an intermittent basis in accordance with physician's orders. Responsibilities include evaluating patients' functioning levels, developing and revising treatment plans in consultation with physicians, implementing interdisciplinary patient care, and educating families. Must have a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, be licensed in Florida or another applicable state, possess at least one year of experience, and maintain current CPR certification. Candidates must be able to physically assess patients and manage patient weights up to 250 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology
- Licensed speech-language pathologist in Florida or registered in another state without licensure
- At least one year of institutional experience
- Current CPR certification
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Ability to drive and access patients' homes
- Effective communication in English
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association
- Previous experience in home health care
