Job Summary
Provide skilled Physical Therapy services to patients at home under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist. Assist in evaluating and developing rehabilitative plans of care, document progresses, instruct patients and families in exercise programs, and participate in discharge activities. Must be licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida, meet specific educational requirements, and have current CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed, registered, or certified as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Florida
- Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education approved program
- Passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants
- Current CPR certification (not online certification)
- Criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to assist in rehabilitation planning and evaluation
- Knowledge of medical history evaluation
- Experience in instructing patients and families in therapeutic exercises
Additional Requirements
- Must have the ability to drive and access patients’ homes
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
