Job Summary
HGV Mechanic role based near Solihull with a focus on repairing and maintaining a fleet of HGVs and trailers in a vehicle maintenance workshop. Responsibilities include trailer inspections and repairs, carrying out PPM and fault finding on HGV/LGV units and trailers, hydraulic and electrical works on multiple units/trailers, work on bespoke blower trailers, pre-LOLER inspections, welding and fabricating, and attending off-site breakdowns. Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics; desirable qualifications include IRTEK, HGV licence, Autoelectric or hydraulic qualifications.
