Job Summary
Drive HGV 15–18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure airport environment, performing pre-trip checks and loading/unloading catering uplifts to aircraft. Liaise with flight crew, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and adhere to Road Traffic Acts and Airport By-laws. Complete daily bar and stores packing, search, sealing, and associated paperwork, plus any additional warehouse duties. Work a regular roster of 5 on 3 off shifts between 20:30 and 08:00 with overtime at 1.5x rate, including in-house training and development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
- Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
- Driver CPC qualification essential
- Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check)
- Provide 5 years of checkable referencing history
- For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country
- Must be able to work shifts
- Be keen to learn
- Develop skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Previous HGV experience desirable
- Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential
