Job Summary
Collect and deliver hazardous waste materials, including batteries, oil, and plastics, to and from customer premises while maintaining strict adherence to EU, Tachograph, and ADR regulations. Perform daily pre- and post-use vehicle safety checks, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and report faults immediately. Act as the key on-site representative for Enva, assisting customers with waste storage and relaying new requirements to line managers. Report any near misses or hazards promptly and strictly follow both Enva and customer site health and safety rules. Work a guaranteed 45-hour week with shifts starting between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, including flexibility for 1 to 3 overnight trips per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license
- Solid understanding of EU & WTD Tachograph Regulations and Operator Licence obligations
- Good geographical knowledge of mainland UK and a strong grasp of the Highway Code
- A proactive, safety-first attitude with high integrity and a professional approach
- Willingness to undertake 1 to 3 overnights (tramping) per week depending on changing operational needs
- 45 hours per week guaranteed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive customer relationships
- Highly organised with excellent time management, a great eye for detail, and strong organisational skills
- Solution-focused approach to handling on-site complaints or conflicts smoothly
Desired Qualifications
- 3 points or less on driving record
- Experience working within the waste or recycling industry
- ADR certification
