Job Summary
Execute depot pulls by filling trailers and transporting them to hubs, then engage in customer work to collect trailers, deliver to hubs, and return to the depot. Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and depots, while performing drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift or uncoupling vehicles for trailer swaps. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries. Travel to local sites for a one-off tacho card download prior to starting, and attend an on-site induction for the first shift. Requires full UK Class 1 licence, 6 months experience, and valid DCPC/Digital Tachograph card.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E)
- At least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
- Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months
- Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate)
- Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward
- Full understanding of WTD legislation
- Excellent communication skills
