Job Summary
Permanent HGV Class 1 driver role at Culina/Stobart in Goresbrook Park, Dagenham, with responsibilities including General Haulage with curtainside trailers, trunking between distribution centres and stores, occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading, completing vehicle checks, ensuring safety, compliance and professionalism, and adhering to driver hours and tachograph regulations. The position offers a variety of shifts (days and nights, 04:00-07:00 and 16:00-19:00 starts) across 5 days from 7, with potential weekend work; benefits include holiday allowance, PPE, DCPC training reimbursement, life assurance, and various employee perks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid C+E Licence
- Minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (New Pass Drivers considered)
- Current DCPC & Tacho cards
- Understanding of Driver’s hours, WTD legislation and tachograph regulations
- Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects
- Excellent communication skills
- On-site health and safety compliance
