Job Summary
Carry out safe, professional RDC deliveries of palletised goods to customer premises and regional distribution centres across the UK. Complete nationwide deliveries while managing working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules. Report to the Transport team at shift start, update them on delays or load discrepancies, and ensure all paperwork, including PODs, is signed and returned accurately. Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects correctly, and conduct temperature checks where required. Maintain high professional standards, including health, safety, and hygiene protocols, while taking responsibility for your unit and trailer. Join a 5 on 3 off shift pattern with flexible morning and afternoon start times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid C+E Licence
- Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- No DD or DR code convictions
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive legislation
- Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly
- Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional approach
- 5 on 3 off shift pattern
- Start times available across Mornings and afternoons
