Job Summary
Deliver to supermarket RDCs, cash and carry locations, and customer sites while completing curtain-sided trailer work, including opening, closing curtains, and securing loads. Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly, maintaining regular communication with the transport office and completing proof of delivery documentation. Operate safely in line with company procedures, driver hours, tachograph rules, and WTD legislation. Work a 4 on 4 off nights shift pattern with flexible start times supporting evening and overnight operations. Valid C+E Licence with minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 experience required; new pass drivers not accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid C+E Licence
- Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- No DD or DR code convictions
- Current valid DCPC and Tachograph cards
- Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive legislation
- Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly
- Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements
