Job Summary
Conduct safe, professional RDC deliveries across the UK to key retail customers and regional distribution centers. Complete nationwide palletised goods transport while managing working time under the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules. Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects, and execute temperature monitoring as required. Report delays, delivery issues, or load discrepancies to the Transport team and ensure all paperwork, including signed PODs, is completed accurately. Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, hygiene standards and professional customer service throughout the 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Required Qualifications
- Valid C+E Licence
- Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
- No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive legislation
- Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly
- Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn
