HGS Paraprofessional

Paraprofessional role supporting instructional delivery under teacher supervision. Responsible for assisting in creating a positive, safe learning environment and supporting students’ personal, social, and intellectual development through individual and small-group activities aligned with instructional objectives. Key duties include facilitating activities, maintaining confidentiality, communicating clearly with students and staff, adapting to new situations, serving as a role model, and ensuring consistent attendance and dependable presence in a busy school environment. Requires near-constant on-site participation and the ability to work in a noisy, crowded classroom setting. Physical demands include prolonged standing/sitting, stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching.
