HeyTutor tutors middle and high school students (grades 8-12) in-person in Chula Vista, following a structured tutoring program with group sessions, lesson prep, attendance tracking, and progress documentation. Responsibilities include leading sessions, using provided curriculum, engaging students, facilitating assessments, and ensuring a positive, safe learning environment. Must be comfortable with an in-person background check and Spanish bilingual capabilities; schedule is Monday–Friday for 5–6.5 hours per day with consistent hours and school-site coordination. Requires an AA or higher (or current college enrollment), tutoring experience, classroom-work comfort, FBI-DOJ background check, and COVID-19 vaccination. Pay is $25–$28 per hour, with benefits including attendance-based incentives, health options, and 401K.
