Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service heavy equipment and engine components on-site or at customer locations, including on-site testing, maintenance, and reconditioning of transmissions, engines, and hydraulic systems. Maintain service records, complete paperwork, and communicate servicing needs with customers and branch management. Participate in manufacturer and in-house service training and Health & Safety programs; uphold professional company image and safety standards in a unionized environment. Requires Trade certification/Journeyman Red Seal and 2-3 years of relevant experience; role located in Sparwood, BC with 2 weeks in, 2 weeks out schedule. Electric haul drive experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Trade certification (Journeyman Red Seal)
- 2-3 years work experience in field service/technical role
- Proficient communication skills with customers
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, engines (gasoline/diesel) and hydraulic systems
- Ability to document service work and maintain records
- Willingness to participate in Health & Safety training
- Ability to work in a unionized environment
- Electrical components and transfer switches experience (preferred)
