Job Summary

Develop an understanding of site patterning, land and site formation processes, and artefact survival for Aboriginal and historical sites. Lead and contribute to fieldwork projects while preparing Cultural Heritage Management Plans, heritage impacts statements, and due diligence assessments. Manage project budgets, variations, and deliverables on time within client requirements. Communicate with authorities, communities, landowners, and the public regarding project specifics. Implement Biosis' high standards and explain current regulatory impacts to existing clients. This mid-level contract role offers potential transition to permanent employment at our Port Melbourne office, supporting our expansion across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Required Qualifications

  • An archaeology degree (Honours), or a Masters in Archaeology or similar
  • 2-3+ years' experience
  • Demonstrated interest in Aboriginal and /or historical heritage
  • Ability to work on site, away from home and in remote locations, if necessary
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A current and valid driver's licence
  • You must have the right to work in Australia to apply for this job

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in Aboriginal and/or historical heritage (preferred but not essential)
