Job Summary
Spray right aways, roadsides, remove weeds, trim, and cut grass and brush using a spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hose. Complete all DOT required truck inspections, identify and troubleshoot truck or spray system issues, and keep equipment clean and organized. Calibrate spray equipment and maintain general knowledge of weed, grass, and brush types, methods, chemicals, and safety requirements. Travel away from home up to 1-2 weeks at a time with hotel and per-diem provided. Obtain Category C6 Commercial Pesticide Applicator license within 90 days if not currently held.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 21+ years of age or older
- A valid driver's license
- 5 years clean (MVR) motor vehicle record
- Must be able to travel away from home for up to 1-2 weeks at a time
- Must successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Herbicide application experience
- Commercial Pesticide Applicators: Category C6
- Agricultural, landscaping, or related industry experience
