Herbicide Applicator Technician

Spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, and hose to treat right-of-ways, roadsides, and commercial sites by removing weeds, trimming, and cutting grass and brush. Complete all DOT required truck inspections, identifying and troubleshooting system issues or repairs. Maintain truck and equipment cleanliness and organization. Calibrate all spray equipment and apply herbicides using general knowledge of weed, grass, brush types, chemical methods, and safety requirements. Obtain Category C6 Commercial Pesticide Applicator license within 90 days if not currently held. Travel away from home up to 1-2 weeks at a time with paid hotel and per-diem.
